1. Verify your email
Create an account and follow the verification link sent to your email. Check spam folders if needed and use Resend verification in My account. Verification establishes access to an email address, not legal identity or ownership.
2. Describe the item
Choose lost or found, a category, a date, and an approximate area. Found reports need a photo. Cover personal information before uploading. Keep a distinctive ownership clue private. Reports pass through screening and may wait for human review.
3. Search your area
Use the map to place a pin and select a radius from 1 to 100 km. For example, choose an approximate location on Bloor Street in Toronto. Street-name lookup needs the configured map service; manually placing a pin remains available.
4. Compare details in private
Open a report and start a conversation. Describe a distinguishing feature without sharing passwords, codes, or full identity documents. Both participants must have verified their email. Block or report suspicious messages.
5. Arrange the return
Agree on a staffed public meeting place. Do not pay an unverified person to release an item. Follow local property and animal-welfare rules. After a return, mark your report reunited from My account.
