1. What Reunite does
Reunite provides a place to publish lost-and-found reports and communicate privately. We do not take possession of items, provide storage or transport, act as an escrow service, decide legal ownership, or become a party to any handover. Posting a listing, browsing reports, and ordinary in-app messaging are free. We charge no listing fee or commission on returned items.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your credentials secure, provide an email address you control, and verify it before posting or messaging. Email verification confirms control of an email address only. It is not an identity check, background check, ownership certificate, or endorsement.
3. Accurate reports and lawful returns
Post only genuine, relevant reports you are authorised to submit. Do not use the platform for sales, illegal goods, adult content, spam, threats, scams, tracking people, or missing-person reports. Follow local found-property rules and official instructions. Pets remain subject to local animal-welfare and shelter procedures. Remove reports that are no longer relevant.
4. Your handover decisions
Verify an ownership claim through non-sensitive identifying details before handing anything over. Users arrange and carry out their own communications, travel, shipping, and handovers. Do not request login credentials, verification codes, card details, or payment as a condition of return. We do not process person-to-person rewards or payments.
5. No insurance or guarantees
Reunite provides no insurance and does not promise that any item will be found, returned, genuine, safe, intact, or lawfully held. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of a listing, a user's conduct, uninterrupted service, or the effectiveness of automated or human moderation. AI screening assesses content risks; it cannot establish truth or ownership.
6. Liability and mandatory rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Reunite and its operator disclaim warranties not expressly stated and are not responsible for losses caused by user statements, ownership disputes, user-to-user arrangements, failed returns, damage, theft, travel, shipping, or unsafe handovers. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right, duty, warranty, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms do not remove our own non-excludable legal obligations.
7. Content and moderation
You retain ownership of your content and grant us permission to host, display, and process it to operate and moderate the service. Reports and images may be sent to the configured AI screening provider. We may hold, reject, remove, or restrict content or accounts for safety or rule violations. Request a human review through support if a decision seems wrong. We may access reported conversations to investigate abuse, with access recorded.
8. Contributions and changes
Optional contributions support operations and purchase no listing priority, ownership rights, guarantees, or insurance. See the Contribution Policy. Material policy changes will be announced on the service. Applicable mandatory consumer and privacy law continues to apply.
